A month and a half ago, on Earth Day, I mentioned that EcoTools was running a campaign called ‘Look Gorgeous, Love Green’, where if you mailed in an empty cosmetic bottle or used cosmetic brush, they would mail you a coupon good for $7.99 towards any EcoTools product. I had been curious about EcoTools cosmetic brushes, so when I heard about this promotion I figured it was the perfect opportunity to try them out.
I had a makeup brush that was old and dying. (Whenever I would use it, it would shed bristles all over my face – which I learned is a sign that a brush is on its last leg.) So I mailed the brush in to the Love Green Team, and waited. When my EcoTools coupon arrived, I used it to replace my powder brush. Well today my new powder brush arrived in the mail, and I am very pleased with it.
EcoTools brushes are about as green as makeup brushes get. They are made of bamboo (which is highly sustainable), recycled aluminum, and the bristles are made of taklon, which is a nylon derivative, so is cruelty-free. They have a wide range of brushes, that are very affordable too. They range in price from $7.99 – $12.99, which is excellent for cosmetic brushes. So if you are in the market to replace any makeup brushes, EcoTools is a great solution if you are looking for a more green option.
