Lepo Eye Cream – Review

September 6, 2010

In the past I mentioned that ROSS has turned out to be a great place to find some natural body products, at a great price. Well I’d like to review my latest ROSS find – Eye Contour Cream, by Lepo.

Lepo is an Italian cosmetics company. Their slogan is “Safe, skin-friendly cosmetics” , and their mission statement is “Say yes to beauty, but also to protection and care.” Sounds good to me! After all, that’s really the balance I’m looking for. I don’t want to sacrifice using cosmetics, but I want to be safe also. The following is taken from their website: “From the very beginning we devoted ourselves to the promotion of a culture of higher awareness in the field of natural cosmetics. In our search for answers to skin problems, we explored the world of nature and ways of respecting the environment. It was natural for us to be inspired by those ingredients which are typical of the Mediterranean area, one of the richest “suppliers” of vegetal substances with remarkable characteristics, like olive oil, sweet almond, bergamot and tangerine, as well as by the ancient recipes of the Italian tradition.” Lepo products are made from all natural ingredients – vegetable substances, their derivatives, mineral substances, and sometimes beeswax. The do not contain any ingredients derived from petroleum, and they do not test on animals.

Their Eye Contour Cream contains olive oil, jojoba, shea butter, vitamin E, and green tea extract. Olive oil stimulates the cells which generate collagen and elastin. It also helps with skin ageing and protects skin from pollutants. I really liked this eye cream. It had a perfect consistency – not too thin and watery, but not too thick either. The olive oil gives it a really nice, light fragrance as well. I would definitely use this again.
